Finished as a puppy nearly 15 years ago. Now acknowledged as one of the all time great bitches of the breed.
At the Fall National Specialty in 2004, "Icey" was Best Veteran to the roaring approval of all whom witnessed her spectacular showmanship and style. Winning that day at the age of nearly 15, she looked and showed like a three year old prime show dog. It was a special moment not only for a very special "special", but a testament to this breed. Young at heart in her old age, and still possessing the heart of a lion.
I am truly honored that she has been a part of our lives.
Now enjoying retirement, sleeping in the bedroom most of the day, I hope she is able to make another trip to the National Specialty and show all whom see her what a real breed standout she is.
I am so fortunate to have had her and I know her time is drawing to a close. It is difficult knowing that the likes of "Icey" will not grace this home again.
